In peace and conflict studies, ethos of conflict refers to a configuration of shared societal beliefs, such as the justness of one's goals, security and self-image, that orient a society during intractable conflict. This meaning comes from Bar-Tal (2012) in Peace and Conflict: Journal of Peace Psychology.[1]
