In strongly correlated electron physics, Falicov-Kimball model refers to a lattice model of itinerant electrons interacting through on-site repulsion with immobile localized electrons, used for valence and metal-insulator transitions. This meaning comes from Falicov (1969) in Physical Review Letters.[1]
