In allergy and immunology, food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome refers to a non-IgE food allergy, mostly in infants, with repetitive vomiting, pallor and lethargy hours after eating the trigger food, defined by international consensus criteria. This meaning comes from Nowak-Węgrzyn (2017) in Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.[1]
