In cryptography, non-interactive zero-knowledge refers to zero-knowledge proofs consisting of a single message from prover to verifier, made possible by a shared random reference string. This meaning comes from Blum (1988) in Proceedings of the twentieth annual ACM symposium on Theory of computing - STOC '88.[1]
