How to read this

Every construct on the map is compared with every other by the meaning of its definitions, and the closest one is surfaced here. The nearest construct to remedy is relief.

Hold this as a prompt, not a verdict. Two constructs sitting close in meaning is a reason to read them side by side and decide for yourself whether they are one idea under two names. It is not proof that they are. Compare the meanings in the Collider.

Economics and competition policy

A measure to restore competition

In merger control and antitrust, the measure an agency imposes to undo the harm to competition that a transaction or conduct would cause. Kwoka and Moss's 2012 study contrasts structural remedies, such as divesting a business or assets to a new rival, with behavioural remedies, such as conduct rules on pricing, access, or non-discrimination that police a merged firm's incentives over time. The referent is a policy instrument aimed at the state of a market rather than at a single injured party, and its success is judged by whether competition is actually preserved, not by relief to one plaintiff or recovery in one patient.[1]
