In personality psychology, unlikely virtues refers to an MPQ validity scale counting endorsements of improbably virtuous self-descriptions, used to flag favorable self-presentation in responses. This meaning comes from Tellegen (2008) in The SAGE Handbook of Personality Theory and Assessment: Volume 2: Personality Measurement and Testing.[1]
