In atmospheric science, Wegener-Bergeron-Findeisen process refers to growth of ice crystals at the expense of supercooled droplets in mixed-phase clouds because saturation vapor pressure over ice is lower than over water. This meaning comes from Korolev (2007) in Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences.[1]
