In enzymology, Cleland notation refers to shorthand that names multisubstrate enzyme mechanisms by reactant number and binding order, such as ordered bi bi, random bi bi and ping pong. This meaning comes from Cleland (1963) in Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Specialized Section on Enzymological Subjects.[1]
