One name. One construct. A landmark on the map.
● anchor · a standalone construct Nearest construct by meaningtaxonomycompare the meaningsEvery construct on the map is compared with every other by the meaning of its definitions, and the closest one is surfaced here. The nearest construct to library is taxonomy.
Hold this as a prompt, not a verdict. Two constructs sitting close in meaning is a reason to read them side by side and decide for yourself whether they are one idea under two names. It is not proof that they are. Compare the meanings in the Collider.
A single standalone construct; nearby constructs are located against it in the Collider. Tap a field for its definition, unit, and measures.
A collection of cloned DNA fragments, held in host cells or vectors, that together represent the sequences present in a source genome or set of transcripts. Maniatis and colleagues' 1978 The isolation of structural genes from libraries of eucaryotic DNA described building such collections and screening them to recover individual genes, establishing the genomic library as a working laboratory tool. The referent is a biological archive of DNA inserts that can be searched for a sequence of interest, sized by clone number and coverage, and it is unrelated to an institution of books or a package of software routines.[1]
