In political communication, one-step flow of communication refers to the claim that targeted, fragmented media now reach individuals directly, weakening the role of opinion leaders described in the two-step flow. This meaning comes from Bennett (2006) in The ANNALS of the American Academy of Political and Social Science.[1]
