In human-computer interaction, sustainable interaction design refers to treating sustainability as a central lens of interaction design, judging designs by how they lead to invention, disposal, renewal and reuse of material resources. This meaning comes from Blevis (2007) in Proceedings of the SIGCHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.[1]
