In materials science, Cottrell-Stokes law refers to observation that the ratio of flow stresses at two temperatures stays constant over a wide range of strain, pointing to forest dislocation interactions. This meaning comes from Cottrell (1955) in Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences.[1]
