In astrophysics, Kramers' opacity law refers to approximation in which stellar opacity from bound-free and free-free absorption scales with density and with temperature to the minus three and a half power. This meaning comes from Kramers (1923) in The London, Edinburgh, and Dublin Philosophical Magazine and Journal of Science.[1]
