One name. One construct. A landmark on the map.
● anchor · a standalone construct Nearest construct by meaningdepositcompare the meaningsEvery construct on the map is compared with every other by the meaning of its definitions, and the closest one is surfaced here. The nearest construct to bank is deposit.
Hold this as a prompt, not a verdict. Two constructs sitting close in meaning is a reason to read them side by side and decide for yourself whether they are one idea under two names. It is not proof that they are. Compare the meanings in the Collider.
A single standalone construct; nearby constructs are located against it in the Collider. Tap a field for its definition, unit, and measures.
The rotation of an aircraft about its own nose-to-tail axis so that its wings tilt from level, which points part of the lift sideways and curves the flight path into a turn; the same idea tilts a road or track surface inward so that a fast vehicle is held in its curve. Etkin and Reid's 1996 Dynamics of Flight: Stability and Control set out how this roll angle, together with the vehicle's speed, fixes the rate and radius of a balanced turn. The referent is an angle and a manoeuvre, measured in degrees of tilt, and it shares nothing with a deposit-taking firm, the edge of a stream, or a seed store.[1]
